Home furnishings supplier Four Hands has named Rick Lovegrove vice president of upholstery.
Prior to joining Four Hands last year, Rick had 18 years of industry experience with Canadian upholstery manufacturer G Romano. There he oversaw the brand’s direction and management, from product design and development to manufacturing and sales direction.
For the last 18 months, Lovegrove has contracted with Four Hands to guide the cultivation and expansion of the company’s upholstery product lines. In that time, products developed under his supervision have become top sellers for the company. Notably, the Kensington collection, which debuted several new pieces at the April High Point Market, has had unprecedented success for a Four Hands upholstery line.
"The initial reaction to our new upholstery direction has been tremendous," said Matthew Briggs, CEO. "With our diverse global manufacturing partners, Rick and his team are adding new depth to our product assortment which is an exciting evolution for our customers."
Lovegrove, who reports to Briggs, directs all facets of the Four Hands global upholstery business, including design, sourcing and manufacturing.
In his new role as vice president, he also joins the Four Hands executive team where he contributes to the strategic direction of the company.
"After working with the Four Hands team for almost 18 months, it was clear that it was a great match," said Lovegrove. "It’s an incredibly dynamic team that is shaping the furniture industry and I’m thrilled to be part of such a creative, supportive and collaborative group.”
Lovegrove will be relocating with his family from Montreal, Quebec, to the Four Hands headquarters in Austin, Texas.
