Gail Doby Unveils Certified Coaches Program
September 23,
2015 by in Designer Weekly, Executive Changes, Industry
Gail Doby, a professional business consultant and coach to interior designers and firms, is expanding opportunities for professional designers to gain greater financial and personal success through the addition of Gail Doby Certified Coaches and new high-level programs and courses offered via a new website.
With a background combining business finance and interior design, Doby recognized that, often, talented and motivated professional designers had limited training in the business side of a successful, entrepreneurial enterprise. In 2008, Doby and her partner, Erin Weir, launched their business with the mission of helping at least 10,000 interior designers achieve $100,000 income. Having already achieved that goal, the company is moving forward to empower even more designers through a combination of personalized, customized coaching and in-depth, self-paced courses.
Three Certified Coaches, all hand-selected and trained by Doby, are now sharing their expertise and Doby's proven business assessment and growth methods with clients whose goals are to gain control of the sometimes unwieldy financial components of interior design businesses; develop an attainable plan for success; develop the tools needed to accomplish strategic growth; and, create a more passion-filled life. Each coach brings a unique perspective and professional background to their coaching programs, but all are fully versed in all aspects of planning, operations, finance, human resources, and other aspects specific to the professional interior design trade.
The certified coaches are:
Drue Lawlor, FASID
A passionate educator and interior designer, Lawlor and Doby co-developed the Strategic Business Transformation Group Coaching program offered through GailDoby.com. She is an NCIDQ qualified interior designer and nationally recognized speaker, author and expert on aging in place. Lawlor spent a number of years as a strategic planning counselor and an ASID national trainer.
Nancy Dale
With more than 20 years' experience in the financial services industry and expertise in successfully growing her own business from two to 60 employees with a valuation in excess of $100 million, Dale brings a wealth of project management, business operations, human resources, technology infrastructure and marketing knowledge to bear for her clients. Now a freelance interior designer, Dale has translated her acumen to the challenges faced by the professional design trade.
Yasmine Bijan Wilson
Wilson is a business advisor with expertise in business leadership coaching and consulting, relationship marketing, sales and self-empowerment. For more than 12 years she was in corporate management and training for one of the country's largest wireless carriers. In 2004 she created her own entrepreneurial mentorship program that combines coaching and empowerment strategies to help others achieve their goals. Wilson has been featured as a "master mentor" in two documentary films-"The Power of Mentorship: The Movie," and "The Voices of Women." She is also a contributing author to several books with world-renowned speakers, coaches and trainers like Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy and Les Brown.
In concert with the new Certified Coaches, Doby unveiled a website to support her clients with advanced online tools and programs. These offerings provide design professionals with in-depth resources and education, such as the Strategic Business Transformation 12-month program, VIP Day and VIP Platinum Coaching.
