Jaipur Rugs Nominated for German Design Award
Jaipur Rugs has been nominated for the German Design Award in the Excellent Product Design category for the Anthar rug from its Project Error Collection.
The award, established in 2012, is the top prize of the German Design Council, an international institution committed to discovering, presenting and awarding unique design trends. Winners will be announced in October.
“We are thrilled and honored that the German Design Council shares our passion for design with meaning,” said Asha Chaudhary, CEO of Jaipur Rugs. “This nomination is even more meaningful for us because of the unique award process, which places the highest demands on the evaluations of its prize winners in terms of proven design quality.”
According to Chaudhary, Jaipur Rugs’ Project Error Collection focuses on nature’s mistakes, and the misprints and aberrations that would normally be tossed out.
“Project Error is a collection close to our hearts,” Chaudhary said. “It embodies our brand mission to empower, connect and inspire through beautiful design.”
The collection will be unveiled at Jaipur Rugs’ showroom at Showplace, Suite 3300 at High Point Market, Oct. 17-22.
