Overstock President Named Top Innovator

Overstock (NASDAQ: OSTK) President Stormy Simon was named the Top Innovator at the 2015 Women Tech Awards in Salt Lake City.
Simon began her career at Overstock.com in 2001 in a temporary position and helped grow the company into a leader in online sales. She was named president in 2014 after serving in various leadership roles and serves on its board of directors.
The Women Tech Council (WTC) awarded a winner in categories including Innovator, Student Development, Rising Star, Customer Excellence, Technology Trailblazer, Technology Leadership, Leadership Excellence and Impact Award.
“To be on a list with 15 other amazing women was a win for me,” Simon said. “To actually receive an award was incredible.”
A pool of 55 nominees was shortened to 16 finalists who interviewed with WTC judges to determine the winners.
WTC provides mentoring, visibility and networking for women who currently work for technology companies and for those who work in technology roles in other market sectors.
