ICFA Honors Casual Industry for Excellence

The Apollo Awards, recognizing retail excellence in outdoor furnishings, were awarded to two retailers—one in the single store category and the other with multiple stores.

Yard Art Patio & Fireplace of Colleyville, Texas, was the multi-store category winner, and Hill Co. of Chestnut Hill, Pa., took honors as the single store winner. 

The Design Excellence Awards for products design were given to 11 companies.

Chaise Lounge: Mamagreen Stripe Stackable Lounger 2 Recliner;

Complementary Casual Products: Elaine Smith Eden Basketweave Pillow;

Dining Bar Chair: Gloster Curve Stacking Chair;

Dining Bar Table: Gloster Split Rectangular Dining Table;

Fabric: Sattler Corp. Outdura Cocoon Buff;

Heating/Firepit: Pride Family Brands Icon Fire Pit; 

Lounge Seating with Cushion: Gloster Bay Lounge Chair; 

Lounge Seating without Cushion: Agio Del Mar Lounge Chair;

Rugs and Flooring: Jaipur Desert Rug;

Outdoor Lighting: Gloster Voyager Rechargeable Lantern, and; 

Shade: TUCCI Ocean Master Max Manta Cantilever. 

The Lillian B. Winchester Best of Show awards were selected from among those honored with the Design Excellence Awards. Gloster’s Voyager Rechargeable Lantern was given the award for outdoor accents, and the company’s Bay Lounge Chair took honors for the outdoor furniture category.

The organization also recognized two individuals for their contributions to the casual furniture industry and their respective communities.

Buzz Homsy, co-owner and founder of California Backyard of Sacramento, Calif., and Dudley Flanders, co-founder of Lloyd Flanders.
