Canadian retailer Tepperman’s has donated $5,000 each to the Women’s Interval Home of Sarnia Lambton and Chatham-Kent Hospice as part of Tepperman’s 90th anniversary celebration year.
The donations will fund programs most in need like Women on the Move bursaries and Children at Risk for Women’s Interval Home, and will provide furniture and equipment for Chatham-Kent Hospice.
“These partnerships fit in perfectly with our community health and kids focus,” said Andrew Tepperman, president of Tepperman’s. “We challenged our stores in each market to choose an organization to partner with that best fit our charitable strategy of children, health and education.”
Tepperman’s Sarnia sales manager Kelly Ash serves as chairperson of the board for Women’s Interval Home.
“We share a similar mindset as Women’s Interval Home in terms of addressing the long-term core issues rather than short-term symptoms,” Tepperman said. “We are very proud to develop this partnership with Women’s Interval Home.”
Meanwhile, Tepperman’s Chatham credit and office manager Danielle Parker recently donated to Chatham-Kent Hospice after winning a company-wide award for a manager who best lives the company’s mission, vision and values.
“End-of-life care is something we only have one chance to do right,” Tepperman said. “The new Chatham-Kent Hospice will provide comfort, support and pain management in a dignified home-like setting.”
