Surya Names Spaces Contest Winners
Three interior designers have been named winners of the second Surya Spaces Contest.
More than 150 images featuring design projects using Surya rugs and accessories were submitted by interior designers across the country. All of the entries were included in a photo gallery on the company’s Facebook page. The most liked entry each week was promoted across Surya’s social media channels. Winners were then selected by Surya’s leadership team.
- Susan Herring of Echelon Interiors took first place and wins $1,000 in Surya products;
- Jessica Doyle of Plum and Crimson Fine Interior Design won second place and $750 in Surya products, and;
- Nishi Patel of Nishi Design Studio placed third and wins $500 in Surya products.
“The inspiration for my project was a Surya rug I had spotted last year at High Point Market,” Herring said. “I loved the fun pattern mixed with the yellow and grey color scheme and thought the rug would be the perfect jumping off point for the coastal home I was decorating. I have been a long-time user of Surya products in a variety of projects, including in my own home, and always look forward to seeing what’s new each market season. I am so excited to have won the Surya Spaces contest.”
Winning images were selected based on creativity, design aesthetic and successful integration of Surya products. All of the entries can be viewed online.
“We are very impressed by the amazing design talent of our customers and truly enjoyed seeing the beautiful spaces they have created using our products,” said Satya Tiwari, president. “Social media is such a great platform for designers to showcase their projects and we are excited to have been able to bring the work of our customers to the attention of more than 140,000 Surya social media followers and potential future customers. We thank everyone who entered for their creative vision and passion for inspired design.”
