Whole home supplier A.R.T. Furniture has named Adam Tilley vice president of merchandising for its case goods division.
In his new position, Tilley will develop and execute the company’s case goods merchandising planning and product development process. He reports to Jeff Cook, CEO.
“As complicated as our world has become, success in our industry still boils down to people and product,” Cook said. “This company is built on high performance people with integrity. We have reinvented our entire company throughout the past three years and our growth and visibility in the industry can be directly attributed to assembling a great team with talent like Adam.
In addition to product development, Tilley will identify new style trends and work closely with customers and sales management to find new opportunities and the proper product mix to meet their needs.
Jon Witteveen, A.R.T. director of case goods product development, reports to Tilley.
Prior to joining A.R.T., Tilley was most recently vice president of products with Stanley Furniture Co. Tilley’s prior experience includes serving as director of merchandising for Thomasville Furniture Inds., as a sales representative for Henredon and as a sales manager for Robb & Stucky.
“He is a proven leader in the industry and has a vision that can inspire others. His long track record as a successful merchant in the industry is evident, as seen in leading home furnishing retailers across the country. He really understands how great design marries aesthetic and function,” Cook said. “That is what attracted us to Adam. He is a great addition to our executive team.”
