Reverie Partners with Sweat Dreamzzz for Childhood Sleep

Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based bedding supplier Reverie has partnered with Sweat Dreamzzz to raise awareness about the importance of sleep in childhood development.

Sweat Dreamzzz is a nonprofit organization aimed to improve children’s health, well-being and academic performance through sleep education to economically disadvantaged children and their families.

“As kids head back to school this month, it’s the perfect time to remind parents how big of an impact sleep has on children’s physical and mental development and to provide disadvantaged children with the tools they need to achieve better sleep,” said Martin Rawls-Meehan, president and CEO of Reverie. “Our partnership with Sweat Dreamzzz will provide many children in need the quality sleep they deserve.”

Reverie will donate $35 for every Sweet Slumber pillow sold through its website and call center from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31. That’s enough to provide a sleep kit to a child in need, which includes a sleeping bag or fleece blanket, night shirt, teaching teddy bear, toothbrush and toothpaste, the children’s book Goodnight Moon and educational materials for parents.

“We are so grateful for the support of Reverie,” said Nancy Maxwell, executive director of Sweat Dreamzzz. “With their commitment, we will be able to provide classrooms of at-risk children with our sleep kits and our sleep education programs. Our programs have been shown to improve the duration of sleep for children, which ultimately impacts their learning at a critical age. The trajectory of their education can be changed with the simple solution of sleep.”
