Approximately 35 sales representatives and managers recently participated in Marge Carson’s national sales meeting at the company's Pomona, Calif., headquarters.
The three-day meeting featured a factory tour with detailed training sessions on manufacturing, fabric matching and finishing touches. Christine Rendino, director of design, presented style and trend education and gave a preview of Marge Carson’s Lake Shore Drive collection set to debut at the October High Point Market. Reps and management shared best practices, brainstormed ideas and enjoyed outings for dinner and a Los Angeles Angels baseball game.
“As a company, we seek to be open and receptive to new ideas and respond to the marketplace,” said Will Sharp, president. “The input we get from our reps in terms of market and consumer needs is very valuable.”
Much of the factory tour and education focused on “the Marge Carson way,” Sharp said. “We want everyone to be aware of the amount of time and care that goes into every furniture piece from concept to execution. We never take things out of the products, but always seek to add more and more value. We’re committed to perfection and zero flaws. We have strict standards, combined with a family-oriented environment where people take personal pride in what they do.”
