Blueport Commerce, a provider of e-commerce technology and services for the retail furniture industry, has announced record growth for the first half of this year.
Second quarter sales by retailers on the Blueport platform grew by 97 percent compared to the second quarter of 2014.
“By adding new clients and continually improving results for our retailers, we are solidly positioning Blueport as a company to watch in the SaaS e-commerce technology space,” said Carl Prindle, president and CEO of Blueport Commerce. “We’ve been steadily building momentum, capitalizing on the changing e-commerce landscape in furniture by driving innovation and strategies that help furniture retailers capitalize on the fact that over 80 percent of all furniture sales involve the Internet today.”
Blueport Commerce’s highlights during the first half of this year included Store-Sync, a technology that was granted a U.S. Patent for the cloud-based application of big data to link online and in-store shopping experiences for the first time; a completely redesigned Furniture.com; and strengthening its management team with several hires, assembling people from PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mercator Advisory Group, Digitas, Cambridge Associates, Staples, Cartera Commerce, Upromise, AOL, Harvard University, MIT Sloan School of Management and General Assembly Boston.
