Norris Furniture & Interiors Sponsors Habitat for Humanity Home

Norris Furniture & Interiors has sponsored and helped build a Habitat for Humanity home from the ground up in San Carlos Park in North Fort Myers, Fla.

The Norris team contributed 310 hours of volunteer labor and contributed $75,000 to the construction of the home. This was the first home Norris helped build, and they have donated $90,000 to Habitat for Humanity since 2012.

“It was great to see everything come together and be able to hand the keys over to the family,” said Renee Norris, co-owner of Norris Furniture & Interiors. “It’s a very special experience.”

Yaseli Torres and her four children, from ages 15 to 2, were happy to move into the neighborhood and began decorating their rooms.

“This is the time when we get to celebrate all the hard work of the new homeowner family and say ‘thank you’ to all of the donors and volunteers that are involved in helping create that house,” said Kitty Green, president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties.

Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties is one of the largest Habitat affiliates in the country, and has helped more than 1,300 families in Lee and Hendry counties become homeowners.

Norris Furniture & Interiors has four showrooms with locations in Fort Myers, Sanibel, Naples and Sarasota, Fla.
