Home furnishings retailer Crate & Barrel has named Doug Diemoz CEO. He starts his new position Aug. 1.
Diemoz, the soon-to-be former chief development officer for Restoration Hardware (NYSE: RH), has 20 years of retail experience.
Since joining Restoration Hardware in March 2014, he has been responsible for developing and leading the retailer’s global expansion plans. Diemoz has held posts with Williams-Sonoma (NYSE: WSM), and fashion retailers Gap and MEXX.
Diemoz, 47, will fill the seat vacated when Sascha Bopp resigned in April. Bopp had been CEO since 2012. During the search for a successor, Crate & Barrel’s COO and CFO Adrian Mitchell has been interim CEO.
Crate & Barrel is owned by Otto Group.
