West Elm to Open 9th New York Store

New York-based home furnishings retailer West Elm will open its ninth New York store in Rochester, N.Y., on July 23.
The 10,600-square-foot store will open at Culver Road Armory with West Elm’s fall assortment and suite of complimentary design services. Crafted goods from seven New York-based artists and makers will be featured as part of West Elm’s LOCAL initiative.
West Elm has partnered with New York-based artist Annemarie Buckley of Scout’s Honor Paper to design a limited edition tote bag, which will be gifted to the first 300 shoppers with a $50 minimum purchase.
“Culver Road Armory is a distinct shopping destination that aligns closely with our mission of promoting community and consciousness,” said Jim Brett, president of West Elm. “We’re honored to be a part of the city’s efforts to revive and reinvigorate this historic landmark.”
The West Elm Rochester store is located at 145 Culver Rd. and its design is representative of the restored military armory built in 1916.
