New Pacific Direct Dawns Simplified Buying Program

Newark, Calif.-based New Pacific Direct, a dining, bedroom and accent furniture resource, has launched a new simplified buying program designed to make its ordering and shipping process easier and more affordable for retailers nationwide.
The program that started July 1 offers all U.S. retailers, with the exception of those in California, a flat freight rate of 15 percent on all shipments with a minimum purchase of $600. California customers receive a 10 percent freight rate for shipments within the state.
New Pacific Direct’s new 145,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center has reduced the amount of time it takes to ship out confirmed orders to a single day for many orders. The simplified buying program will further streamline order placement and processing.
“Our new simplified buying program will offer our customers greater peace of mind,” said Henry Limarta, CEO of New Pacific Direct. “They will know that any time they place an order of $600 or more, their freight rate will always be the same, regardless of location, and the low minimum requirement will simplify the ordering process since customers won’t need to consolidate a shipment to get a better rate.”
Limarta says the larger warehouse enables New Pacific Direct to stock more inventory.
“We now offer a deep stock of 150 quick-ship items that are always available, and about 800 [stock keeping units] of additional items that also are ready for immediate shipping in two days or less,” said Limarta.
In addition to its simplified buying program, New Pacific Direct will also upgrade its website to include new features like real-time inventory information, estimated time of arrival information for back orders and complete order processing. New Pacific Direct plans to unveil its upgraded website to retailers at Las Vegas Market Aug. 2-6.
