Gallery Furniture Opens 3rd Store

Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is at it again.
Gallery Furniture opened its third and largest store yesterday in Richmond, Texas. The store is filled with entertaining features for consumers to enjoy.
The 165,000-square-foot store offers shoppers more than furniture. Included in the space is a full-service restaurant, bar and bake shop, Brick & Mortar Kitchen, managed by McIngvale’s daughter.
An atrium in the store showcases a living wall with 11,000 plants, exotic birds, a capuchin monkey family of three and a 30,000-gallon aquarium that includes blacktip and zebra shark.
The retailer has also partnered with The Brookwood Community, a Houston-area nonprofit that offers housing and vocational programs for adults with disabilities. The store has a dedicated section for the sale of Brookwood residents’ handcrafted products.
