Ikea St. Louis to Open in September

Ikea St. Louis will open Sept. 30, marking the Swedish company’s first store in Missouri and its 41st in the United States.
The 380,000-square-foot store is being built on 21 acres near the intersection of Interstate 64 and Vandeventer Avenue in St. Louis’ Cortex Innovation District. It will feature nearly 10,000 exclusively designed items, 50 inspirational room settings, three model home interiors, a supervised children’s play area and a 450-seat restaurant serving Swedish specialties and American cuisine.
Ikea St. Louis will employ 300 employees in addition to the more than 500 jobs created from its construction.
