Norwalk Furniture has named Dan White has been named interim CEO and Chris Price interim president following the retirement of Mike Kenney who had been president.
Both White and Price were part of the local group of families that stepped forward in 2008 to revive Norwalk. White initially served as interim president of the company following the reorganization. Both have continually been board members, with Price recently serving as chairman.
“Mike served our company for nearly 30 years,” White said. “We thank him for his leadership and wish him all the best. Under his leadership as president, we moved to a new, larger showroom in a premier location in IHFC’s Main wing at the High Point Market, implemented a new ERP system and maintained Norwalk’s aggressive growth.
Norwalk Furniture currently employs 177 people and operates in a 440,000-square-foot facility designed to ship nearly custom products in 35 days or less.
“Our mission statement is to do whatever it takes to better serve our customers and it takes a special leader to understand the depth of our commitment to work from the heart to create products for homes across the U.S.,” White said. “Chris and I look forward to leading Norwalk in the interim, until we find the right leader for this very special company that is preserving the tradition of furniture made in America.”
