Nourison’s Alex Peykar Honored with American Heritage Award

The National Home Furnishings Industry Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has presented Nourison’s Alex Peykar with the American Heritage Award at its annual awards tribute.
Peykar and his family were recognized for their work in supporting the community as the award was established to honor business leaders that personify the ideals and spirit of the ADL. Nourison is a leading global floor covering company producing area rugs, broadloom carpet and home accessories.
“I am honored and humbled to be presented with this award,” said Peykar. “The ADL has a long-standing history of fighting discrimination and protecting civil rights. All of us at Nourison are proud to be recognized by this incredible organization and are happy to further help this beneficial cause.”
Levin Furniture president Robert Levin and International Market Centers chief executive officer Robert Maricich were also honored, and the event was attended by more than 500 people raising more than $750,000 for the ADL.
