"Having such a significant retail presence in the heart of Paramus is an incredible opportunity for us and perfect timing as we launch our aggressive retail expansion plans for this year and into 2014," said Mitchell Gold, chairman and co-founder of the company. "This is the type of location Bob and I have been searching for-it's got great adjacencies and the right customers for our product line. Paramus is the largest shopping mecca in the country—more than any other zip code in the U.S. Opening a flagship in Bergen County—the most populous county in New Jersey—will be a great opportunity to build and expand our brand presence in the New York metro marketplace."
The store will feature the company's products, style and customer service.
The new Paramus store will be at 776 N Rt. 17 in the heart of the Rt. 17 Paramus shopping area and across the street from Prestige Motors. It will showcase the company's signature store design, including soft white walls and floors, bright modular lighting and personally created furniture settings by Williams and Gold-showing customers ways to integrate varied styles of furniture.
"Having this expansive space to showcase the majority of our product line will let consumers really experience our way of living," said Bob Williams, president of design and co-founder. "We know buying furniture can be an anxiety-ridden purchase, and we want everyone who walks through those doors to feel welcome, comfortable and very well taken care of."
The store will feature in-stock merchandise and also offer customers and the design trade the ability to custom-order pieces delivered in six weeks in most situations. The Paramus location is the latest in a growing number of rapidly-expanding Signature Stores for the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams brand. Other stores across the country including SoHo in New York City, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, Washington, D.C., Nashville, and Puerto Rico, with international locations in Mexico City and Toronto. The company plans to open nine new store locations over the next 18 months with stores planned for Houston, Texas; Plano, Texas; Manhasset, N.Y.; Miami; and Tysons Corner, Va.
