High-end case goods vendor Woodbridge Furniture will introduce a licensed line with interior designer Tobi Fairley at the Fall High Point Market.
The partnership marks the first licensed collection for Woodbridge.
The Tobi Fairley for Woodbridge line will feature between 10 and 12 pieces with a larger collection planned for introduction at the April 2016 Market. The collection will include side tables and dining tables, desks, chests, consoles and dining chairs.
“Woodbridge is excited to partner with Tobi Fairley,” said Watts Humphrey, Woodbridge co-founder. “Tobi has an incredible following and a unique style that fits well with what Woodbridge represents. Creating new traditions is our direction and Tobi’s talent for designing a classic look that intersects with today’s style is in full alignment with our strategy.”
Fairley’s design aesthetic of bold, bright, and tailored style will be evident in the new collection. The designer and Woodbridge tested the waters at the most recent Market, with two designs featured in the CR Laine showroom to coordinate with Tobi’s line of upholstery and her art collection for Soicher Marin.
“In addition to her talent, Tobi has been great to work with during the development of our first collaboration project,” said Kevin Hinshaw, Woodbridge co-founder. “She has worked on every detail and it is no surprise that she has been recognized as a leader in her profession. Given that this is our first licensed collection, we sought someone who possesses unique talent, a collaborative spirit, and is compatible with Woodbridge’s style. Tobi met all of that criteria and more.”
Fairley said she was impressed with the product quality and expertise at Woodbridge.
“They are a young company that is really a hidden gem,” Fairley said. “I like to align my brand with companies that I feel are collaborative and share a vision that we’re both ready to work hard to execute. That is exactly what I liked about Woodbridge and its amazing team.”
