Taylor King Honored by Decorating Den

Taylor King Furniture has been named supplier of the year by Decorating Den Interiors.

The award is given for exceptional service as well as innovation of products and incentives.

“Taylor King was honored for outstanding sales and service out of more than 100 suppliers involved in our preferred supplier program,” said David Haseley, vice president of merchandising and marketing. “The selection of Taylor King reflects the growing role of furniture sales in our business. That category accounted for a third of our retail sales last year.”

Horizon Window Fashions, Hunter Douglas and Kasmir Fabrics also were honored with achievement awards at the retailer’s 46th annual conference in Jacksonville, Fla. Hunter Douglas also was recognized for outstanding growth.

“Our preferred supplier program covers a wide range of home furnishings products and is the cornerstone of our business model,” Haseley said. “These four were particularly outstanding in 2014. Our partnerships with suppliers across the U.S. and Canada distinguishes us in the design business.”

Haseley credited the company’s supplier partnerships are key to its recent growth. “2014 was our best year in sales since 2008, and we opened 18 new franchises in six states, Washington, D.C. and Canada,” he said. “Our suppliers also give our owners the advantage of having their own market at our annual conferences and they financially support our international design competition and awards program, which we have held for 31 years.”
