Kingsdown to Unveil Downton Abbey Mattresses

Mattress supplier Kingsdown has signed a licensing agreement to produce a line of bedding under the Downton Abbey Home moniker.
The Emmy and Golden Globe award winning television series is about to embark on its sixth and final season.
“We are extremely excited about this alignment,” said Frank Hood, Kingsdown president. “Downton Abbey Home is an amazing brand that defines style and sophistication and offers a wide variety of home furnishings product inspired by the rooms, costumes, and characters of the show. Our reputation is for making the finest luxury mattresses on the market. This is a strategic move that we think it will be very strong in the sleep products industry.”
The Downton Abbey Home by Kingsdown will be introduced this summer’s Las Vegas Furniture Market. The mattresses in the Downton Abbey Home by Kingsdown will feature English lace, satin, hunter’s leather, and chenille with hounds tooth print.
“This collaboration is one of the largest licensing deals the sleep products industry has seen,” said Kevin Damewood, executive vice president of sales. “We are working hard to develop an elegantly constructed product made with high-quality materials that will transform the bedroom into a British inspired retreat. Just as Downton Abbey is known for its chic and elegant style, this new mattress collection will be designed to capture the essence of and bring relaxation to any sleeper.”
