Atlantic Furniture Donates to Rural Development Program

Atlantic Furniture has donated $40,000 of bedroom furniture to Rural Development Inc., a Massachusetts non-profit to works to expand housing in the area.

Created in 1991, RDI provides monetary support in its mission to provide services to families in crisis. These services range from the provision of basic needs, such as access to food and clothing for families sheltered in area motels, to the provision of basic furniture for families who have recently been placed in permanent housing.

“As a local family business we are committed to giving back to the community and strive to help local families.” said Mark Valone, owner of South Deerfield, Mass.-based Atlantic Furniture.

With more than 30 years of experience in the furniture industry, Atlantic Furniture designs, manufactures and imports hardwood furniture and mattresses.

The donation of goods includes showroom samples and returned items such as bedding, nightstands, dressers, and chests.
