Comfort Research Donates to Animal Sanctuary

Dogs and people are finding life a little more comfortable at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary with the donation of 25 pet beds donated by Comfort Research

The donation of various sizes, styles and fillings of pet beds were given by the company to provide a homelike experience for the 90 abandoned dogs that reside at Mackenzie’s.

“Comfort Research is pleased to share our pet-friendly beds with the dogs at Mackenzie’s,” said Chip George, co-founder of Comfort Research. “I am very aware that the dogs at Mackenzie’s are only there until they are adopted, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a comfortable place on which to sleep or cuddle until they find a permanent home”.

With more than 80 dogs, Mackenzie’s is giving each one a chance to experience the generous donation. Many of the beds are placed in visitation rooms where staff, volunteers and potential adopters bring the dogs to spend some quality time, be petted, be hugged or just sleep next to someone.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary is the largest no-kill dog sanctuary in the Midwest. Dedicated to finding homes for abused, abandoned and neglected dogs, up to 115 animals receive daily care, food, training, medical care and affection from volunteers.
