Lifetime has agreed to purchase all of LightHeaded Beds’ assets, including its intellectual property, trademark portfolio, manufacturing equipment, inventory, and its retailer contracts. Now, beds and HeadLight Images previously distributed by Lightheaded Beds will be manufactured under Lifetime’s management. Employees of LightHeaded Beds will be joining the Lifetime team and will play a role in the transition and new category development.
“Lightheaded Beds has developed an innovative bed design which opens new ways to look at a child’s bedroom furniture, and consumer response has been outstanding.” said Richard Hendrickson, president of Lifetime Products.
Founded in 2011, LightHeaded Beds creates beds featuring a large-scale backlit panel within the headboard with interchangeable images to reflect the interests, age, and gender of a child.
“The marketplace response to our products has been phenomenal," said Dennis Forchic, president of LightHeaded Beds. "This acquisition by Lifetime Products will allow them to take full advantage of the consumer demand and grow LightHeaded Beds to its fullest potential.”
