Mattress supplier Englander Sleep Products has signed a license agreement with Ultra Industrias, S.A. that enables the company to produce and market its product across Central America.
Ultra Industrias, S.A., based in Guatemala, was founded in 1983 and has been owned and managed by Edgar Solares and Luis Pedro Solares since 1988.
Ultra Industrias operates a 130,000-square-foot factory and produces its own foam, spring and wood components. The company also owns a transportation firm and sells mattresses across the contiguous countries of Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.
“Our new Central America partner is an extremely experienced and independent producer,” said Kevin Toman, Englander CEO. “Ultra Industrias employs 135 persons and manufactures between 800 and 1,000 pieces per day and up to 10,000 pieces per month. In the future the company plans to expand into other countries within the region.”
Englander Central America will make and market several Englander-branded collections while continuing to produce its own bedding lines.
