Havertys Names IT Executive

Havertys (NYSE: HVT) has named Tim Simpson assistant vice president of information technology development.
Simpson joined the retailer in 2005 as senior Java developer. In 2008, he was senior team manager, and since 2011, Simpson has been director of development.
Simpson is responsible for the architecture and development of key Havertys systems including sales, website, and intranet among others and reports to Greg Davis, vice president, information technology development.
Prior to joining Havertys, Simpson worked in consulting roles in the health care industry, in development with Idea Integration and in consulting with Accenture.
