ASFD Installs Officers and Board

Phillips has been on the ASFD board since 2009. He succeeds Rick Schroeder in the position.

"It is an honor and privilege to take over the ASFD helm from Rick Schroeder,” Phillips said. “The coming year promises to be one where we build our membership, increase networking and mentoring opportunities, and provide exclusive information supporting our members in building their design careers and our industry in truly "touching lives by Design." 

Schroeder of Stanley Furniture will serve as chairman for the next two years. Vice presidents are Tim O'Hare of H. Thomas Keller Associates, and Paula Fogarty of Paula Scott Unlimited. Jack Hendrix of Hendrix Barney & Co., CPAs continues as ASFD treasurer.  

Ongoing directors are Nicholas Blair of Turnkey Products; Denis Kissane of Stanley Furniture; Stephanie Lena of Somerton Dwelling; Matthew Maher of VIA Design; Jesse Schopmeyer of Benchmark Wood Studio; C.J. Grudzinskas of Catina Unlimited; Peter Aiken of Aiken Design; Steve Hodges of Steve Hodges Associates, Inc.; Fred Spector of Frederic Spector Design Studio; and Mark Tucker of MT3Dzines LLC.

New directors to the board are John Black of J Black Design; Christopher Eitel with Vladimir Kagan Design Group;  Jacob S. “Jake” Wharton with Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice; Karla Webb with Bienenstock Furniture Library; Bill McLoughlin of Furniture Today.
