Kiersten Hathcock, founder of Mod Mom Furniture, has been named president of Mod Life Collection, effective today.
Hathcock succeeds Robert Petril in the president’s seat. Mod Life Collection was introduced by Petril and Hathcock at the High Point Market in April.
Both Mod Life and Mod Mom will operate under one umbrella Mod Group to supply modern home furnishings.
"Bringing Hathcock on board as president of Mod Life Collection was a natural next step in the progression of our Mod Group vision," Petril said. "Not only does she bring a wealth of entrepreneurial experience and international brand building skill to Mod Life, but she is also an accomplished product designer in her own right. Together, we bring a balance of both masculine and feminine design perspectives to both ventures."
Hathcock is responsible for co-steering Mod Life's lifestyle brand through the management of the sales operations, consumer and industry marketing initiatives, and new upholstered product designs.
"I feel so grateful to be a part of the Mod Life team," Hathcock said. "Petril has done an amazing job of launching a brand that resonates with consumers and retailers, as proven by our successful launch in High Point this past month. Being able to contribute to Mod Life's growth is very exciting for me having concentrated so much on the juvenile product side for the past eight years. Now, I get to focus on big kids and do it alongside a well-respected, seasoned veteran in the industry while keeping manufacturing U.S.-based. It's a dream come true.”
