AHFA Sets Educational Golf Tournament

The solution partners division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance will hold its 25th annual education golf tournament Sept. 30 at Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory, N.C.
The event helps fund education initiatives within the home furnishings industry, including a new research effort designed to help identify and address obstacles to solving the growing skilled worker shortage in the upholstered furniture industry.
The tournament also supports the Solution Partners Scholarship Program, the only scholarship providing educational support for the children of industry workers. Since 1990, the program has awarded 76 scholarships.
The group awards six $2,000 scholarships each year. Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic merit.
Golf tournament registration is open to all segments of the home furnishings industry. Registration is $500 per foursome or $150 per player. Online signup is available. Tournament sponsorships are available at various levels. For more information, e-mail Mary O’Keeffe.
