RISD Student Earns $2,500 ASFD Scholarship

A sophomore at Rhode Island School of Design is the recipient of a $2,500 merit scholarship from the American Society of Furniture Designers.

David Riley is an honor roll student at RISD where he is studying furniture design.

Created to reward college students majoring in furniture design who have achieved academic excellence, the touching lives by design scholarship is part of ASFD’s mission to support, motivate and inspire the designers of tomorrow through mentorship and scholarship programs.

“David was the unanimous selection by the scholarship committee from an impressive group of candidates,” said Richard Schroeder, ASFD president. “We are pleased to award this scholarship to him and look forward to following his future successes in our industry.”
