Wade Named President of Specialized Furniture Carriers

The organization elected new officers at its board of directors meeting this week.

Wade of Shelba D. Johnson Trucking in High Point, will serve as president for 2015-2016. The executive committee includes Aimee Boozer, Sun Delivery in Thomasville, first vice president; and Mark Fierek, Orion Air Ride, in Mendota Heights, Minn., second vice president.

Patrick Cory, Cory 1st Choice Home Delivery in Secaucus, N.J., continues as chairman.

Directors with terms expiring at the end of 2015 are Bill Smith, Globe Express Services in Charlotte; and Marcus Cary, Wiseway Transportation Services in Hudson, Wisc.

Directors with terms expiring at the end of 2016 are Sue Collitz, Western Logistics Inc. in Coquitlam, BC, Canada; and Sam Houser, Houser Transport Inc. in Vale, N.C.

Directors with terms expiring at the end of 2017 are Freddie Davis, Global Shippers Association in Lenoir, N.C.; and Michael Sharpe in Cargo Consolidation Services Inc., Claremont, N.C.

The Specialized Furniture Carriers division serves niche carriers dedicated to the transportation and delivery of residential furnishings. The Board of Directors meets during the High Point Market in April and October.
