Retail Sales Bounce Back

U.S. retail sales increased 0.9 percent last month, posting the largest gain since last March and ending three months of declines, according to the Commerce Department.
February sales were revised to a 0.5 percent drop from the previously reported 0.6 percent slide.
Retail sales excluding automobiles, gasoline, building materials and food services climbed 0.3 percent. Sales at furniture stores climbed 1.4 percent from February and 3.8 percent when compared to March 2014.
Sales at electronics and appliance stores fell 0.5 percent.
