Each year, Circle employees have the opportunity to nominate vendors that have gone above and beyond to provide outstanding service. As a company that strives to exceed customer expectations, Circle Furniture values these same qualities in its vendors.
This year’s Vendor of the Year award carries special significance for Circle Furniture and the Tubman family as Norm Coley, former president of Lee Inds. and a long-time Circle partner, died unexpectedly in August.
“Lee Industries has been a partner of ours for more than 12 years and the passing of Norm Coley makes giving them this award incredibly emotional,” said Peggy Burns, head of merchandising at Circle Furniture. “When it comes to manufacturing environmentally-conscious furniture that is also beautiful, Norm was truly ahead of his time and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.”
Founded by Bill Coley and Dottie Coley in 1969, Lee Inds. is a family-owned business based in Conover, N.C., with a mission to create innovatively styled, high-quality home furnishings that are eco-friendly and made in the United States.
“We’re honored to be receiving this award from Circle Furniture,” said Bill McKinney. “As two family-owned businesses, we share many of the same values when it comes to providing sustainably-made, quality furniture with great customer service, and that makes receiving this award all the more special.”
