Jerome’s Furniture Opens New Store

San Diego-based Jerome’s Furniture has opened its 11th store in yet another new market for the retailer.
The 32,000-square-foot store in Laguna Hills, Calif., is a smaller footprint than the retailers other stores.
“It really challenged us to bring our strongest merchandising game to the space,” said Lee Goodman, president and CEO. “It’s a curated, edited selection based specifically on the target market in Laguna. We are also stressing the use of technology to show customers our wider selection online. So far things are going fantastic. It’s always interesting to open new markets, but it seems like everyone likes the Jerome’s way.”
More than 100 people gathered to celebrate the new store, where Adrienne Navarra, project manager and daughter of Jerry Navarra cut the ribbon. She praised her team for pulling the store together in a short amount of time.
The new store added 45 jobs to the local economy and takes the retailer total employment to more than 700 people in Southern California.
