Bienenstock Furniture Library Awards Scholarships

Erica Brooks, a senior at Virginia Tech, will receive the scholarship during next month’s High Point Market.

The Library’s Interior Design Competition asked entrants to design a project to create an art gallery that encompassed two floors with a third floor being a residential space and to create a design plan for the entire complex.

Brooks’ winning entry was named LineUp.

The second place winner, Tung Nguyen from Winthrop University, will receive a $1,500 scholarship. In addition to the awards, each has been given memberships in the American Society of Furniture Designers and American Society of Interior Designers  and their schools will receive $1,000 to use in academic programs.

The Bienenstock scholarships are open to any junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college design program.
