Frank Lorenzo Named IHFRA President

Lorenzo, who has been active in the organization’s Florida chapter for many years, began his career in as a retail sales associate in his family’s furniture business in 1984. Two years later, he became an independent sales representative for a number of small, local furniture factories. Lorenzo joined Coaster Co. in 1988, and then Ashley Furniture as a sub-sales representative in 1989.
During his tenure with Ashley, Lorenzo focused on expanding the growing Hispanic furniture market in South Florida.
In 1993, Lorenzo joined Michael Amini representing Aico Office Systems in South Florida.
In addition to Lorenzo, IHFRA’s 2015-2016 slate of officers include: ; Matt Keepers, member at-large, as chairman of the board; 1st vice president Geoff Weed, Midwest Furniture Club; 2nd vice president Tommy Leflein, Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association and Tri-State Chapter; and Al David, secretary/treasurer, HFR of Michigan Chapter.
The IHFRA executive committee will be presented at the 20th Annual Furniture Industry Awards Gala Monday, April 20, at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center in Greensboro N.C. For more information about the event. Reservations for the event can be made online.
