Wayfair Reports 4Q Loss of $72.6 Million

Online home furnishings retailer Wayfair (NYSE: W) reported a net loss of $72.6 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 compared with a loss of $4.2 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter were $408.6 million compared to net sales of $295.3 million.
For the year, the Boston-based company reported a loss of $148.1 million compared to a net loss of $15.5 million in the prior year. Net sales for the year hit $1.3 billion, compared to net sales of $915 million in 2013.
Looking ahead, the company said it expects net revenue for the current quarter to land between $375 million and $390 million.
