HOM to Open Furniture Design Center

HOM Furniture will open its 185,000-square-foot Furniture & Design Center this weekend in Little Canada, Minn.

The furniture retailer’s new store combines all of its brands under one roof.

The complex includes an 80,0000-square-foot HOM Furniture showroom, a 35,000-square-foot Gabberts Design Studio and Fine Furniture, a 60,000-square-foot DOCK 86 and a 10,000-square-foot customer service and product pick-up center.

“By bringing all three of our brands together in one convenient shopping destination, we can now provide our customers with hundreds of fine brands, exciting products and custom design solutions to suit every budget,” said Rod Johansen, president and CEO of HOM.

The location will house the second Gabberts showroom in the area. Gabberts has operated a showroom in Edina, Minn., since 1959. Since HOM acquired Gabberts in 2008, the retailer has opened three other Gabberts showrooms—Sioux City, Iowa; Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Fargo, N.D.

In addition to the Gabberts locations, HOM operates two DOCK 86 showrooms in Minnesota and 15 HOM Furniture showrooms in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota.
