Mattress Firm Honors Tempur Sealy

Bedding retailer Mattress Firm (NASDAQ: MFRM) has named supplier Tempur Sealy International (NYSE: TPX) as its strategic partner of the year.

The supplier was also awarded the best in-store service award from the retailer.

"These awards are a reflection of the value we place on Tempur Sealy and our recognition of their strategic part in moving the industry forward, as well as identifying more than $1 million in operating efficiency improvements."

The strategic partnership of the year award debuted at Mattress Firm’s BEDTalks leadership conference last year, and is awarded to a vendor partner that demonstrates excellent ongoing performance, as well as active participation in strategic collaboration to drive sales and profits. The best in-store service award recognizes the supplier that excels in providing service to individual retail stores, distribution centers and associates. Associates vote for the partner that best delivers an exceptional service experience.

In other partner awards, Mattress Firm recognized its ad agency, The Company of Others, with the service excellence award for its media planning and buying of more than 1 million radio and television spots.

Progressive Leasing was recognized with the retailer’s partner of the year award for its ability to create unique programs geared toward driving sales and overall profit.
