Ashley Furniture Inds. has officially contested the fines and citations issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration last earlier this month.
Ashley Furniture has contested “all portions of each and every citation and penalty notice and all proposed abatement dates issued as a result of any and all inspections” by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
In early February, OSHA announced Ashley Furniture is facing a $1.76 million fine after the safety organization reported more than 1,000 work-related injuries in the past three years.
