Contemporary Design Group Sets 2015 Conference

This year’s event will be held in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Hotel Valley Ho. The hotel was built in 1956 and was a much sought-after Hollywood hideaway. Since its founding, the hotel has been transformed into a hip mid-century design hotel.

The 26-retail member group looks forward to building on the success of last year’s event in Coral Gables, Fla.

“It was full of surprises—everyone loved the changed venue,” said Rick Howard CDG board member and co-owner of Sklar Furnishings  in Boca Raton, Fla.

“The interaction between our vendors and members was electric,” adds CDG board member Bruce Selik of Hillside Furniture in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.  

The 2015 Conference starts Dec. 4 with a welcome reception and concludes the morning of Dec. 6.

“We’re pushing ourselves to add more value to CDG every year,” says Alicia Mendez, CDG Executive Director.  “Conference is just one of the many benefits we offer to our retailer members and partners. Vendors can expect to see more opportunities than ever to build their brands through partnership with CDG.”

The group also has plans for more group advertising and marketing initiatives in 2015.
