Naturepedic Joins EPA Green Power Partnership

Organic mattress supplier Naturepedic has joined the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership, pledging to support renewable energy for its operations.

The company is purchasing Renewable Energy Credits for all of its electricity use from provider NativeEnergy. http://www.nativeenergy.com/ Independently certified by leading renewable energy certification program Green-e, NativeEnergy has counted as clients other green businesses like Ben & Jerry’s, Stonyfield Farm and Clif Bar.

“Our business is helping people create healthier, safer indoor environments by providing mattresses without toxic chemicals like chemical flame retardants and phthalates,” said Barry Cik, Naturepedic founder and technical director. “Every indoor environment, however, is a part of the larger world. In supporting wellbeing, Naturepedic is committed to caring for all environments, inside and out.”

Naturepedic offers mattresses certified non-toxic and organic to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
