OMI Adds 10 to Sales Team

The move is part of the company’s strategy to bring organic and natural sleep products to consumers looking to lead a healthier lifestyle by replacing or reducing the chemicals in their homes.

“The organic and natural movement’s time has come to the mattresses category,” said Kurt Ling, CEO. “Given our tremendous success at the Las Vegas Winter market and the increasing demand for natural and organic products in many product categories across the nation, we need a sales force to service our existing and new dealer base, train retail sales associates, and establish a retail structure in the dozens of markets that have consumers that have a high propensity to buy organic and natural products where there are no existing retailers offering them.”

Ling said the company asked retailers for names of the top sales representatives in their regions to locate those that could present the company’s OrganicPedic brand.

“This team will provide the manpower we need to continue to build out the organic markets already established across the nation, while tapping into one of the fastest growing segments in the industry,” he said.  

The sales representatives report to Steve Baumberger, senior vice president of sales. They are: John Lowrence (Washington, Oregon and Idaho); Justin Trumbo (Midwest and Northwest); Gord Bennett (Ontario); Lee Spahn (Maryland, Delaware, East Pennsylvania and Virginia); Doug Turner (Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado); Mitch Barclay (Texas); Mark Fillhouer (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin); Bill Harwood (Oklahoma); Sidney Dassinger (Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina); and Tim Thompson (Michigan).
