Microban International Names Senior Director

Lisa Owen has been named senior director of global business development for textiles for Microban International.
Owen joins the textiles team, focused on increasing product value through durable and effective antimicrobial product protection that doesn’t wear off.
Prior to joining Microban, Owen held executive positions at RSC Bio Solutions, NatureWorks, Marley, Klochner, Honeywell and BAE Systems. Owens’ experience ranges from specialty and commodity plastics, fibers and chemicals business through development of successful strategies and implementation of product, technology, marketing, commercial and business plans and building, as well as leading multicultural teams.
“The Textile category is a global priority for Microban, and the addition of Lisa to our team is one example of how we are making significant investments in our expertise from R&D to marketing in order to drive growth,” said Richard Chapman, vice president of global marketing for Microban. “With Lisa’s help, we’re looking forward to educating more and more product developers about the Microban difference.”
Microban’s Textile business ranges from footwear and apparel to pillows and mattress pads, to bath mats and shower curtains, working with brands including Bacova, Oakley, Reebok, Remington, Serta, Springs Global, Teva, Venturi and Wamsutta.
