Zenith Global Opens Orlando, Fla., Facility

Specialized carrier Zenith Global Logistics has opened a new warehouse, freight, and split-container hub in Orlando, Fla.
The facility has an initial 20,000 square feet, with room for expansion, and will provide service to Florida, allowing Zenith to run loads direct from California, Mississippi, Texas, and its East Coast hubs to Florida.
“Because Florida is one of the largest markets for furniture in the United States, Orlando was an ideal location for our latest expansion,” said Jack Hawn, president and CEO. “The Orlando hub opens additional opportunities for manufacturers seeking pool distribution or split-container programs. Ultimately, this will reduce transit times, which is a key component for customers to gain a competitive advantage in today’s market.”
Previously, freight destined for Florida was handled through Zenith’s hub in Conover, N.C.
The Florida expansion is part of the growth plan Zenith Global has been operating under since 2004. The plan calls for a national network of regional freight and home delivery hubs to provide efficiency and speed to market for the company’s customers.
Since the inception of its national network plan, Zenith has opened regional facilities throughout the U.S. including, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Indianapolis, New York, San Antonio, Tupelo, Miss., and West Palm Beach, Fla. It also expanded its North Carolina storage and handling capacity by more than 30 percent when it acquired the former Boyles Furniture facility in Conover as its new corporate headquarters.
