Conn’s December Sales Climb 11.5%

Home furnishings, appliance and electronics retailer Conn’s (NASDAQ: CONN) reported net sales of $132.4 million for the month of December, an 11.5 percent increase compared to the same month in 2013.

Same store sales for home furnishings climbed 3.4 percent for the month. Overall same store sales increased 5.2 percent, excluding the home office category, which declined 26.4 percent.

The retailer also reported its 60-day delinquency rate from its consumer credit customers at 9.7 percent.

“Greater than 60 day delinquency improved by 30 basis points in December compared to November,” said Theodore Wright, chairman and CEO. “Less than 60 day delinquency at December 31, 2014 was well below a year ago.”
