United Furniture Pays $1.45 Million for Former Lane Plant

Upholstery supplier United Furniture Industries’ $1.45 million bid for a former Lane Furniture factory in Verona, Miss., was the winning bid.

United Furniture Industries was the winning bidder for the former Lane Furniture Industries plant in Verona.

United offered $1.45 million for the 475,000-square-foot facility.

United Furniture Industries and McCormick Drive LLC had bid on the facility, which was a former office and warehouse for Lane.

Earlier this year, Heritage Home Group – the umbrella company for Lane, Broyhill, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, Maitland Smith and other furniture companies that were once part of the now-defunct Furniture Brands International – said it was auctioning 17 Thomasville and Lane properties in all, mostly in North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
