Report: World Furniture Consumption to Rise

World consumption of furniture for 2015 is forecasted to grow by 3.4 percent compared with this year, according to the new "World Furniture Outlook 2015" report from CSIL Center for Industrial Studies in Milan.
CSIL's research predicts limited growth in Europe and a continuing fast expansion in Asia. Furniture consumption in three key large markets--China, the United States and Germany--is expected to grow 6 percent, 3 percent and 2 percent, respectively .
World trade of furniture in the last 10 years has grown faster than furniture production. Top importing countries are the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Canada (with the United States, Canada and Germany reaching or exceeding the pre-recession level); while major exporters are China, Italy, Germany, Poland and Vietnam.
